Speak your mind, speak your heart, speak your passion. And when you speak remember these tips:

  • SPEAK TO INSPIRE

Audiences want to be turned on. They want their mind, spirit and energy touched on the inside. They want to be inspired. Make an authentic connection with your audience. Engage them so that you inspire them.

  • PUT YOUR AUDIENCE FIRST

Speaking is not about you, it’s about your audience. Don’t worry that people are looking at you or that you might make a mistake. You are human. It’s OK to let audiences see your vulnerabilities. Remember, you are there for your audience, not for yourself. Keep their needs top of mind.

  • EXPRESS GRATITUDE

Be thankful for the opportunity to share your message. Let the audience know that you appreciate them and their attentiveness. Thank the meeting planner. Approach your audience from an attitude of gratitude and you will not disappoint them.

  • ALIGN WITH YOUR PURPOSE

Never lose sight of why you are speaking and the value of your message. Stay on point, use multiple stories, examples, case studies, experiences and comments that align with your purpose. Stay purposeful and on purpose from beginning to end.

  • KNOW AND BE YOURSELF

In order to be authentic you must know yourself. Never try to be someone else on stage. Always be you. Choose to be the best version of you rather than a bad version of someone else.
